Super Foods To Treat Osteoporosis
With Osteoporosis, a person’s bones become less dense and more fragile. Women who have gone through menopause have osteoporosis most often because hormone changes make it harder for the body to absorb calcium. People with osteoporosis are unusually vulnerable to breaking bones. As people age, they also tend to lose muscle mass around the skeletal structure, which adds to the problem.
What Causes Osteoporosis?

- Omega3, such as fish oils, and omega6 help maintain calcium. Essential fatty acids (EFAs) such as evening primrose oil and borage are also important because of their ability to balance and maintain bone calcium stores.
- Avoid foods that cause your body to become acidic, which pulls the minerals from the bones. Stay away from alcohol, commercially processed foods, particularly soft drinks, caffeine, pasteurized milk and dairy products, fried foods, sugar, and protein. Instead, eat plenty of raw, organic leafy green vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, and wild fish with the best oils these include cod, mackerel, halibut, tuna, and salmon.
- Drink plenty of pure water.
